Garden Room and Forge Conversion
This project for a domestic client involved the careful repair and conversion of an existing historic forge to nanny accommodation, maintaining the existing brick smithy intact.
In addition, a modern garden room and kitchen extension has been created to maximise the occupants' connection with the garden, creating a vaulted dining space with glazed walls that disappear at the corner beneath a floating roof canopy.
Extended timber sunshades offer protection in the summer, whilst deeply overhanging roof canopy allows the entire room to be opened up to the garden, even during the heaviest storms.
